My Fair Lady

The premiere

13 / 11 / 2021
Description

My Fair Lady is associated with good and captivating entertainment. The show has kept seducing audiences all around the world. It is a classic of the genre, unchangeably popular due to the excellent music and the play considered to be its prototype Pygmalion. The drama by George Bernard Shaw in the musical version will return to the Opera at the Castle after almost 20 years.

The action is located in London, which keeps some of the realities from 1912 but may also be a credible background to show contemporary issues and attitudes.

The story of the ruthless and self-centred professor Henry Higgins, here told from the point of view of three women: his mother, his housekeeper – Mrs. Pearce and his student Eliza Doolittle, who must be in his life, it gives you a chance to read the well-known story from a new perspective.

And all that with the singing and dancing charm, cynical English sense of humour, fantasting acting interpretations and lots of opportunities to experience genuine emotions.
