Love, mystery, jealousy and revenge in one of Verdi's greatest operas!

Description

Giuseppe Verdi's Troubadour interpreted by Barbara Wiśniewska is a story about how the decisions of previous generations define the lives of the present. We can talk here about the transmission of trauma, a disease that passes from the ancestors by words and deeds, undetectable and gluttonous. In the first scene, we get to know fragments of a story from the past, which motivates the main characters: the Count and the troubadour Manrico and his adoptive mother – Azucena. However, it is not the source of the trauma – the event shrouded in mystery that separated the two brothers, the Count and Manrico, that the composer focuses on, but the tragic consequences of fulfilling an imaginary order for revenge.

Can such a tragic story have any constructive meaning? Perhaps it's a story about how we should strive to stop the toxic cycle which was started by our ancestors? As a community, perhaps we should tell a cautionary the story like this.
